Taekwondo -  The Way of the Hand and Foot

Taekwondo Training

Every Age:  We train our students with an eye to their individual characteristics, so that each person trains to the best of their ability. Some students come to us in shape, while others have come to us 100 pounds overweight.  Many students come to us with limited flexibility.  Teens & Adults can start at any age.  Some adult students have started in their 40’s through 60’s and have still earned their black belts. For children, we generally accept students in our Tigers program at age 4 - 6 years when they are beginning to learn the ability to follow classroom rules and disciplines.

Special Needs Students:  We have many years of successful experience working with special needs students including Physical disabilities, Autistic, ADD & ADHD individuals.  One young woman with Cerebral Palsy achieved the level of World Champion in the Special Abilities tournament competition.     

Individuals: As a student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else. Our instructors will be there every step of the way. All that is expected is the willingness to try.


Here are some benefits you can expect from training in             Taekwondo:

Young Children - ATA Tigers       Ages 4-6 yrs.

Children - Karate for Kids (K4K)      Ages 7-12yrs.

Teens and Adult       13 yrs & Up

Pre-Qualification for Black Belts:  The purpose of pre-qualification is to confirm readiness for the new level, display our fitness and make stronger, more physically fit black belts. Successful pre-qualification will require independent preparation. We recommend that students begin preparing well in advance. Please, don’t wait until the last possible day to attempt prequalification.  Prequalification will take place on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. & Saturday at 8:00 a.m.  Check the newsletter and watch for email newsletters.
